The Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology's weekly Plant Pathology 250 seminar series is presented this week by:

Francisco Franco Navarro, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside.

Huaitong Wu, Plant Pathology Graduate Student UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Sequence Motifs likely involved in Sorting of mRNAs into Plant Extracellular Vesicles."

Biography: Huaitong Wu went to the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Biochemistry in  2019. During his time there, he worked in Dr. Jean Cook's lab on projects related to the human cell cycle. After graduation, he went to Dr. Guol-liang Wang's lab to begin a one-year technician position working on maize. In 2020 he joined the Plant pathology program at UCR and started working in the Jin  lab from then on extracellular vesicle related research.
