The Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology's weekly Plant Pathology 250 seminar series is presented this week by:

Moriaki Saito, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Liquid-like behavior of a plant Argonaute protein mediated by bacterial infection."

Biography: Moriaki Saito is a 4th-year graduate student in Dr. Hailing Jin's lab. His research is focused on RNA interference-mediated modulation of plant  immune systems.

Albert Nguyen, Plant Pathology Graduate Student, UC Riverside. 

Seminar Title: "Resistance to citrus postharvest fungicides: Current occurrence in California packinghouses and mechanisms involved"

Biography: Albert is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Dr. Jim Adaskaveg’s lab. His primary research focuses on citrus postharvest decay management with chemical and fungicide applications.
